bobby's daddy

Dear Della,

Yesterday we had a mellow day as I had stayed up late the night before with a friend and you woke early. However, we still had fun and you didn't seem to notice my lethargy.

We played with a new puzzle today and you can almost do it by yourself now. You still like to have "Mama ep" though which is fun for me. You also got some "new shooooz" today and have been walking around the house in them. You received those shoes because Marlee has some but also because you have been doing such a great job on the potty! Sometimes you still have accidents or want to wear your "nigh night" diaper but you are making serious progress!

Also, yesterday, you kept asking about Bobby's daddy.

Della - Is he at work? (signing the work sign)
Mama - No, he is home with Bobby today.
Della - Ome?
Mama - Yes, Della, he is home playing with Michael.
Della - Baby? Bobby's Mama?
Mama - Yes, he is playing with Laurel and Aunt Phae too.

We even got you say Kenny a little. I think it was something like "Gow nee". We called Uncle Kenny on the phone too and left a message for him.

I told you that you get to spend 11 days with Uncle Kenny when we are in Mexico. "Yah", you said and clapped your hands!

Bobby's daddy is the golden boy right now.

I love you,

Mama

mexico

Dear Della,

I have not updated you recently on all the goings on in your life, but I will soon, I promise.

However, I did want to tell you about a cute story this morning on the way to school. As a background, I have been talking about our upcoming trip to Mexico for a couple of months now. You know who is going and that we will take an airplane (insert jet engine sound here and pointing to the sky). Bobby, Bobby's daddy, Baby, Bobby's mommy....I have sometimes wondered if I have mentioned it too often to you.

So, this morning I am listening to NPR in the car and a story comes on about legalizing abortion in Mexico. I was listening to the story when I heard you making to sound for an airplane. I wasn't sure at first why you were doing that. Then, I realized you heard them talking about Mexico on the radio. You are ready to go now I think!

I love you,

Mama
