close enough

Dear Della,

The other day in the car you randomly said, "Ma sista". Who is your sister, I inquired. "Baby WhoaWa". You meant your cousin Laurel in case you need a translation of Dellanese.

While I love the fact that you would consider her your sister, I also have a pang of guilt that you will never have a sister. Never say never, I guess.

I love you,

Mama

Dear Della,

I love hearing about you on this blog. You look fabulous in a tutu! I think it's cool that you and Lauren are such good friends. I have a sister and I love it...we make each other laugh a lot and share Ben & Jerry's ice cream and make art while we drink coffee. I think having cool girls in your life is very important. I think it's so neat that you can share you clothes with Lauren...it is fun when cool outfits can stay in the family instead of going to Goodwill! (Not that I'm against Goodwill...I used to shop there quite a bit.)

I look forward to hearing more about your treehouse. Your dad is so handy and crafty! Your slide looks like a lot of fun!

Give your mom and dad a big hug for me,

~ Jen*

Well...Laurel will never have a sister either so I think it makes perfect sense for you and Laurel to be honorary sisters! Just don't team up against pesky Michael too much...

I love you,
Aunt Phae
